Album descripton:

To kick off the label with it's first proper release (MUNDANE001), extramundane tapes is issuing a cassette release of the album "en annen gang." by norwegian emo act Rektor, to celebrate it's 1 year anniversary! "en annen gang." is a delightful musical blend that lies somewhere between twinkly 4th wave east coast emo like Algernon Cadwallader and Snowing, classic-era Death Cab by Cutie, with a dash of fantastic pop hooks and what i would believe to be some crossover pop appeal, while not watering down it's own emoness.

For a album to be unabashedly emo and to fall in taste with emoheads like myself, yet still have a appeal that reaches beyond that niche is truly a admirable thing, and it truly is a testament to how well written and good the songs on this album are! The lyrics are personal and intimate, in a way that almost reads like a musical diary of sorts, witty, clever and sharp, while being sung in norwegian, which is rare in the tiny pool of emo music from up north.

"En annen gang." is from now on (in my opinion) a staple of the tiny, yet awesome Norwegian emo canon, and you'll be doing yourself a disservice by not listening to this, even if my writing might not be very convincing or good.

Released on 30 smoky brown cassettes with handmade covers by Rektor themselves, get 'em while they're still here!
